Sound familiar?
Still not sure what your tax bill is going to be?
Self-assessment catches a lot of people out — not because it is complicated in principle, but because it is easy to miss something. An income source logged in the wrong place, an allowance not claimed, a payment on account that arrives without warning. The return gets left until January, filed in a rush, and then the question marks remain.
- Tax bill arrives as a surprise because nothing was calculated in advance
- Multiple income sources — employment, freelance, rental — handled inconsistently or missed
- Allowances and reliefs left unclaimed because you did not know they applied
What a properly filed return looks like
Your return is prepared by a qualified accountant who works through every income source, applies the allowances and reliefs you are entitled to, and submits well ahead of the deadline — so your tax liability is visible and accurate, not a January surprise.
- Tax bill calculated and confirmed months before the HMRC deadline
- All income sources — employment, freelance, rental, dividends — reported correctly
- Every applicable allowance and relief identified, checked, and claimed
- Fixed £150 fee — prepared, filed, and done, with no hourly billing

Why clients choose us over any other accountant
There is no shortage of accountants offering self-assessment. Here is what makes the difference in practice.
A Fixed Fee You Can See Upfront
Your self-assessment return is £150, clearly stated before you commit to anything. That covers preparation, all income sources, allowances and reliefs, payments-on-account advice, and HMRC submission. If you find a lower published price from a comparable practice, we will match it.
Plain English, Not Accountant-Speak
Your tax position is explained in plain terms — what you owe, why, and when it is due — not handed over as a set of numbers with no context. Most clients say they understand their tax situation properly for the first time after working with us. That is, frankly, how it should always have been.
Qualified Accountants, Directly Involved
Your return is handled by a qualified ACA-chartered accountant with over seven years of experience across hundreds of UK clients — not passed to a junior or processed through an automated tool. The same person who advises you is the one doing the work.
Up and running in four steps.
Getting your self-assessment return filed takes less effort on your side than you might expect. Here is how the process works.
Tell us about your situation
Complete a short online quote form or call us on 020 8089 1876. We ask a few straightforward questions — income sources, tax year, any relevant expenses — so we know exactly what the return involves before we start.
Send us your information
We tell you precisely what we need: P60, bank interest summaries, rental income figures, invoices for trading income, or whatever applies to your situation. No guesswork — a clear list, nothing more.
We prepare and review
Your SA100 and SA302 are prepared, your tax liability is calculated, and the draft return is sent to you for review before anything is submitted to HMRC. You see the numbers and confirm you are happy.
Filed, confirmed, done
Once approved, the return is submitted to HMRC and you receive confirmation. You know your tax bill, when it is due, and whether any payments on account apply — everything visible, nothing outstanding.
“Professional, efficient, confidence that everything is taken care of.”
A few things people usually ask first
I have income from several sources — employment, freelance work, and rental. Can you handle all of that in one return?
Yes, and it is exactly the kind of return where a qualified accountant adds the most value. Each income source has its own rules around allowable expenses, reliefs, and reporting requirements. Employment income, self-employment profits, rental income, dividends, savings interest, and capital disposals are all brought together into a single accurate return — you do not need to work out which boxes or supplementary pages apply.
What does £150 include — is there anything that costs extra?
The £150 fixed fee covers preparation of your SA100 and SA302, all income sources, identification of applicable allowances and reliefs, advice on payments on account, and timely submission to HMRC. There are no hourly charges, no charges for questions during the process, and no surprise additions. For more complex situations — for example, if you need a separate capital gains computation or international income needs specialist treatment — we will confirm any additional cost before starting.
My records are in a bit of a state — receipts everywhere, nothing properly organised. Is that a problem?
It is fairly common. We will tell you exactly what information we need and in what format, and work with what you have. If your records are genuinely incomplete, we will say so clearly and advise on the best approach — including whether catch-up bookkeeping would be worthwhile before the return is filed. The aim is always to get the return right, not to rush it.
Is there a contract — what happens if I just need the return done this year?
There is no contract and no obligation to continue after your return is filed. You pay the fixed fee for the work completed, and that is the end of it. Many clients do come back the following year, which is straightforward because we already know your financial picture — but that is entirely your choice.
Can you deal with HMRC directly if there are queries on my return?
Yes. If HMRC raises a query or opens an enquiry in connection with a return we have prepared, we can liaise with HMRC on your behalf. We will explain what the query involves, advise on the appropriate response, and handle the correspondence. HMRC investigation support is available as a service in its own right for more involved cases.
How far in advance should I get my return done — does it matter if I come to you in April versus November?
Earlier is consistently better. Filing early means your tax liability is confirmed well before the 31 January deadline, which gives you time to plan for the payment rather than scrambling to find the funds. It also means any queries from HMRC can be resolved without deadline pressure. We can take on returns from April onwards for the previous tax year — there is no reason to wait until autumn.
