Switched accountants, no looking back

“I switched from another accountant about a year ago and haven’t looked back since.”

Sound familiar?

Still not sure what your company owes this year?

Most limited company directors know they need to file accounts and a corporation tax return every year. Far fewer know exactly when, what goes in them, or how to make sure the numbers are right. The filing deadline creeps up, the paperwork stacks up, and the cost of getting it wrong sits quietly in the background.

  • Accounts deadline approaching with no clear figures prepared yet
  • Unsure whether your bookkeeping is in good enough shape to file
  • No idea whether your corporation tax bill is roughly right or wildly off

What getting it sorted looks like

You send us your records, we take it from there. We prepare the accounts, calculate your corporation tax liability, flag any planning opportunities, and file both returns on your behalf before the deadline.

  • Accounts and CT600 filed well before the deadline, not the day of
  • We work with whatever records you have and flag anything that needs attention
  • Corporation tax liability confirmed in writing, with no estimate left hanging
  • Fixed fee of £250 for the full service, no surprises at the end

Why Wings Online Filings

Why companies file through us each year

There are plenty of accountants who will file your accounts. Fewer will explain what they mean, flag a planning opportunity, and still charge a fixed fee.

📋

One fixed fee, nothing added later

The £250 covers preparation of your accounts, the CT600, and submission to both Companies House and HMRC. There is no additional charge for the filing itself, no separate invoice for the computation, and no bill for reviewing your records before we start. What you see is what you pay.

🔍

Your tax bill confirmed in plain terms

Once your accounts are prepared, we set out your corporation tax liability clearly: what is owed, when it is due, and whether payments on account apply. Directors are rarely surprised by a bill they were not expecting when the numbers are explained in advance.

🏛️

ACSP-registered with Companies House

Wings Online Filings is an Authorised Corporate Service Provider registered with Companies House and AML-supervised by HMRC. That means we are authorised to file statutory documents on your behalf directly, and we carry professional indemnity insurance on every engagement.

Getting started

Your accounts filed in four steps

Most clients are up and running within a few days of getting in touch. The process is straightforward and most of the work sits with us, not with you.

1

Send us a quote request

Use the form on this page or give us a call. We confirm the fixed fee upfront and let you know exactly what information we will need from you. No commitment required at this stage.

2

Share your financial records

We work with whatever you have: bank statements, bookkeeping software exports, spreadsheets, or a mix of all three. If your records need some tidying before we can prepare the accounts, we will let you know and agree a clear scope before proceeding.

3

We prepare and review with you

We prepare your Profit and Loss account, Balance Sheet, and CT600 computation. Before anything is filed, you receive a copy to review and approve. We walk you through the key figures so you understand what is being submitted and why.

4

Accounts filed, compliance done

Once approved, we file both your statutory accounts with Companies House and your corporation tax return with HMRC. You receive confirmation of both submissions. Your accounts are on record, your compliance is current, and you know exactly what your tax bill is.

Questions

Questions about your limited company accounts

What is the difference between my Companies House accounts and my HMRC corporation tax return?+

Your statutory accounts (filed with Companies House) show the financial position of your company for the year: income, expenses, and what the company owns and owes. Your corporation tax return (CT600, filed with HMRC) uses those figures to calculate how much tax is due. Both are required every year for active limited companies, and both have separate deadlines. We prepare and file both as part of the same fixed-fee service.

What does the £250 fee include, and are there any additional charges?+

The £250 covers preparation of your Profit and Loss account and Balance Sheet, the CT600 corporation tax return and supporting computation, submission to both Companies House and HMRC, and a basic tax planning review. It does not include bookkeeping if your records are not yet in order, which we would quote for separately. There are no hidden fees within the stated scope.

My books are in a bit of a state. Can you still help?+

Yes. We regularly work with directors whose records are incomplete, disorganised, or have fallen behind. Before we start, we review what you have and let you know if any catch-up bookkeeping is needed. If it is, we agree the cost separately before proceeding. A messy starting point is not unusual and it does not prevent us from getting your accounts filed.

Is there a contract or minimum term?+

No. Year-end accounts are a one-off annual service. You instruct us for the year in question, we complete the work, and there is no obligation to continue beyond that. Many clients do return each year, but that is a choice rather than a requirement. There is nothing to cancel and nothing that auto-renews.

When do my limited company accounts need to be filed?+

Your statutory accounts must be filed with Companies House within nine months of your company’s accounting reference date (year-end). Your corporation tax return must be filed with HMRC within twelve months of the same date, and any corporation tax owed must be paid within nine months and one day. Late filing attracts automatic penalties from both Companies House and HMRC, so it is worth knowing your deadlines before they arrive.

Can you advise on reducing my corporation tax bill as part of the filing?+

A basic tax planning review is included in the fee. This covers checking that allowable expenses have been claimed correctly, that capital allowances are applied where relevant, and that director-level remuneration is structured efficiently. More complex planning, such as R and D tax credits, EIS or SEIS claims, or group-level considerations, falls outside the standard scope and would be quoted separately.
