Year-end accounts

Year-End Accounts — Fixed Fee

Your year-end accounts, done properly.

Every limited company must file annual accounts with Companies House and a corporation tax return with HMRC. Most owners find out their tax position later than they should. Wings handles both for a fixed £250 fee — qualified accountants, ACSP-registered with Companies House, same-day replies on any questions.

  • Profit and loss account, balance sheet, and CT600 prepared accurately
  • Know your corporation tax bill well before the deadline arrives
  • Filed with both HMRC and Companies House — nothing left outstanding
  • Fixed £250 one-off fee — no surprises, no hidden charges

Sound familiar?

Still not sure what last year’s tax bill actually is?

Year-end accounts sit at the top of the compliance pile for every limited company, and yet for most business owners the deadline creeps up, the numbers are unclear, and the whole process gets pushed back until it becomes urgent. Missing the Companies House or HMRC deadline is not just stressful — it triggers automatic penalties. And even when accounts are filed, many owners walk away without understanding what the figures actually mean for their business.

  • Accounts deadline approaching with no clear picture of the numbers
  • Corporation tax liability unknown until long after the year has closed
  • Previous accounts filed but never properly explained in plain terms

What sorted looks like

Wings prepares your full year-end accounts and corporation tax return at a fixed £250 fee. Both submissions are handled — Companies House and HMRC — and the numbers are explained so you understand your position, not just that it has been filed.

  • Accounts prepared accurately, on time, well ahead of the filing deadline
  • Corporation tax liability calculated and visible months before it is due
  • Numbers explained in plain terms so you know what they mean
  • Fixed £250 one-off fee — price match promise if you find lower

What you get

Everything the £250 annual fee covers

One fixed fee covers both statutory filings — Companies House and HMRC — with tax planning included as standard, not as an extra.

01

Annual Accounts Prepared and Filed

A full set of statutory accounts — profit and loss account and balance sheet — prepared by qualified accountants to the required standard. Filed with Companies House on time, with confirmation once done. No chasing, no last-minute scramble.

Included at £250
02

Corporation Tax Return Handled

CT600 and tax computation prepared alongside the accounts, so both submissions go in together. Your corporation tax liability is calculated clearly, with basic tax planning to identify any reliefs or allowances that apply. You know your bill before HMRC sends the reminder.

Included at £250
03

Plain-English Review of the Numbers

Once the accounts are prepared, the figures are explained in ordinary terms — what the profit and loss shows, what the balance sheet means, and what your tax position looks like going forward. Most accountants file and move on. Wings explains what has been filed and why it matters.

Why Wings

Why business owners choose Wings for year-end accounts

There are plenty of accountants. These are the specific reasons clients come to Wings and stay.

💷

Fixed £250, No Hidden Extras

The fee is £250. That covers the accounts, the corporation tax return, the CT600 computation, the HMRC submission, the Companies House filing, and basic tax planning. Nothing is charged separately. If you find a lower published price elsewhere, Wings will match it.

📋

Both Filings, Handled Together

Year-end accounts and the corporation tax return are prepared at the same time and filed together. There is no situation where one goes in and the other is left pending. Both deadlines are managed, and you receive confirmation when each submission is complete.

🔍

Numbers Explained, Not Just Filed

Filing the accounts is the minimum. Wings explains what the profit and loss shows, what the balance sheet reflects, and what your tax position means in practice. Business owners leave the process understanding their finances, not just knowing that something has been submitted.

Getting started

Your accounts sorted in four steps

The process is designed to require as little of your time as possible. Most of the work happens on the Wings side.

1

Request a quote or get started

Fill in the short form on this page or book a call. You will receive a clear confirmation of exactly what is included at the fixed £250 fee — no ambiguity about scope before anything begins.

2

Share your financial records

Send over your bookkeeping records, bank statements, or cloud accounting access — Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, or Sage all work. If things are not in perfect order, that is normal. Wings will tell you what is needed without making it awkward.

3

Accounts prepared and reviewed

Wings prepares the statutory accounts and corporation tax return. Before anything is filed, you receive the accounts to review and approve. Any questions at this stage get answered in plain terms before the submission goes in.

4

Filed, confirmed, and understood

Both filings go to HMRC and Companies House. You receive confirmation of each. The numbers are explained so you know your tax position, what is owed and when, and what the accounts reflect about the year. Which is, frankly, what should happen every time.

Questions

Questions people ask before getting started

What exactly is included in the £250 year-end accounts fee?+

The fee covers preparation of the profit and loss account and balance sheet, the corporation tax computation, and the CT600. Both the statutory accounts and the corporation tax return are filed — Companies House and HMRC respectively. Basic tax planning to identify applicable reliefs is included. There are no additional charges for a straightforward limited company.

Is the £250 really the total cost, or will more be added once the work starts?+

For a standard active limited company with reasonably organised records, £250 is the total. If the bookkeeping requires significant catch-up or clean-up work before the accounts can be prepared, that would be scoped and quoted separately beforehand — nothing is added without agreement. Wings backs the pricing with a price match promise: show a lower published quote and it will be matched.

My books are behind and I am not sure they are in a fit state. Can you still help?+

Yes. Wings works with businesses whose records range from meticulously maintained to considerably less so. If there is a bookkeeping backlog before the accounts can be prepared, the catch-up work is scoped and quoted first so you know the cost before it begins. Once the records are clean, the accounts are prepared from there.

Do I have to commit to an ongoing contract to get the year-end accounts done?+

No. Year-end accounts and corporation tax returns are available as a one-off fixed-fee engagement. There is no ongoing contract required. Many clients return each year and expand to payroll, VAT, or bookkeeping over time — but that is a decision made when it makes sense, not a condition of getting the accounts filed.

What happens if my company has been dormant for the year?+

Dormant company accounts are a separate, simpler filing available at a fixed £50 fee. Wings prepares the dormant balance sheet, files with Companies House, and notifies HMRC of the dormant status if required. If your company traded at any point during the year, the standard £250 accounts and corporation tax return would apply instead.

Can you tell me what my corporation tax bill will be before I have to pay it?+

Yes — and that is part of what the accounts process is for. The corporation tax computation is prepared as part of the year-end work, so you know the liability well before the payment deadline. For most limited companies the payment falls nine months and one day after the accounting period ends, which gives adequate notice when the accounts are done promptly.
