Sound familiar?
Still not sure what your company owes this year?
Most limited company directors know accounts are due annually. Far fewer know exactly what that involves, when each deadline falls, or what a late filing penalty actually costs. The work sits in a drawer until it becomes urgent, and by then it is more complicated than it needed to be.
- ✕ Deadline approaching with no accountant and no figures prepared
- ✕ Unsure whether corporation tax, accounts, and confirmation statement are all separate obligations
- ✕ Previous accountant left books in a state and you are not confident the figures were right
What a sorted company year looks like
Hand over your records, answer a few questions, and the rest is handled. Accounts prepared, CT600 filed, Companies House updated, tax liability confirmed — all for a fixed fee before we start.
- ✓ Deadlines tracked and submissions made well before HMRC and Companies House cut-offs
- ✓ Accounts, CT600, and confirmation statement explained clearly so nothing is a surprise
- ✓ Catch-up work available if prior-year records need tidying before this year’s filing
- ✓ Fixed £250 annual fee — agreed upfront, no hourly meter running

Everything the £250 fee covers
One fixed fee covers your statutory accounts, corporation tax return, and submission to both HMRC and Companies House — plus tax planning to make sure you are not paying more than you need to.
Statutory Accounts Prepared and Filed
Profit and loss account and balance sheet prepared to statutory standard and filed with Companies House on time. Your accounts are reviewed with you in plain terms before anything is submitted, so you know what they say.
Included in £250 feeCorporation Tax Return and CT600
CT600 and tax computation prepared and submitted to HMRC alongside your accounts. Your corporation tax liability is confirmed before the return goes in — no estimate, no guesswork, and tax planning applied where it reduces your bill.
Included in £250 feeTax Planning to Reduce Your Bill
Filing the return is the minimum. Before submission, the figures are reviewed to identify any allowances, deductions, or timing adjustments that reduce your liability within the rules. That is included in the fixed fee, not charged separately.
Included as standardHeard consistently, across different businesses
From first-time directors to established companies, the same things come up: clear communication, no drama, and accounts filed without the usual back-and-forth.

What makes this different from the usual accountant
Three things that come up in practice — not on a brochure.
£250 Fixed Fee, No Hidden Extras
The fee covers accounts preparation, CT600, computation, submission to HMRC and Companies House, and tax planning. There is no separate charge for the tax return, no add-on for Companies House filing, and no hourly rate if a question takes longer to answer than expected. Wings is the best priced online accountancy practice in the UK — and if you find a lower quote elsewhere, we will match it.
Numbers Explained, Not Just Filed
Every set of accounts is walked through with the director before submission — what the profit and loss shows, what the tax liability is, and what it means for the year ahead. Most directors should understand their own accounts. It takes ten minutes and it is included as standard.
ACSP-Registered With Companies House
Wings Online Filings is an Authorised Corporate Service Provider registered with Companies House, which means filings are made directly and accurately with the register. That is not a universal standard across online accounting services — it is worth checking before you hand your filing over.
Your accounts sorted in four steps
The process is designed so that your time investment is minimal. Most clients spend less than an hour in total before the filing is done.

Share Your Records
Send across your bookkeeping file, bank statements, or whatever records you have. If they are incomplete or need tidying, that is handled — it is flagged upfront and quoted separately if catch-up work is needed, so there are no surprises.
Review and Approve
Draft accounts and the tax computation are sent to you for review before anything is filed. The numbers are explained in plain terms. You approve, and the submissions go to HMRC and Companies House.
Filed, Confirmed, Done
Confirmation of filing is sent once both HMRC and Companies House have accepted the submissions. Your tax liability is confirmed, your deadlines are clear for next year, and your accounts are on record. That is all it needs to be.
“Prads and his team are the best. Very professional, easy to work with, and always on hand to answer any questions we have. Cannot recommend them enough!”
Things directors usually ask before starting
My company only traded for part of the year — do I still need to file accounts?
Yes. Every limited company registered at Companies House must file statutory accounts and a corporation tax return for each accounting period, regardless of how much trading took place. The only exception is dormant companies, which have a simpler filing process and are covered by a separate fixed fee of £50.
What exactly does the £250 fee include?
It covers preparation of your profit and loss account and balance sheet, the CT600 corporation tax return and computation, submission to both HMRC and Companies House, and a review of the figures with you before filing. Tax planning to identify any legitimate reductions to your liability is also included — that is not charged separately.
My books are in a mess. Can you still help?
Yes, and it is not unusual. If the records need tidying or catching up before accounts can be prepared, that work is assessed at the outset and quoted separately so you know the cost before committing. The accounts cannot be filed until the underlying figures are clean, but that is a solvable problem.
Is there a long-term contract or minimum commitment?
No. The company accounts and tax return service is a fixed one-off annual fee. There is no subscription, no minimum term, and no exit fee. If you want ongoing support — bookkeeping, VAT, payroll — those are quoted separately and arranged on whatever basis suits your business.
What happens if HMRC has a question about the return after it is filed?
HMRC enquiries are uncommon but not rare. If correspondence arrives relating to a return Wings has prepared, the first step is to contact the practice directly so the query can be reviewed in context. HMRC investigation support is available as a separate service if a formal enquiry is opened.
Can you advise on how to take money out of the company tax-efficiently?
Yes. The most common question for director-shareholders is the balance between salary and dividends. That is covered as part of the accounts review conversation — you will leave with a clear picture of what you have taken, what tax is due, and what an efficient structure looks like for the year ahead.
