Sound familiar?
Still not sure what your tax bill will be?
A lot of self employed people put the tax return off until it becomes urgent, do it themselves and wonder if they have missed something, or hand it to an accountant and pay more than the job warrants. None of those outcomes are particularly satisfying. There is a cleaner way.
- Filing your own return and unsure whether every allowance was claimed
- Dreading a surprise tax bill because you never quite tracked what you owe
- Paying more than you should for basic self assessment compliance
What sorted looks like
A qualified accountant prepares your return, identifies every allowance and relief that applies to your income, and files before the deadline. Your tax position is clear before HMRC asks for anything.
- Every applicable allowance identified and claimed — nothing left on the table
- Your tax liability confirmed months before the January deadline
- Fixed £150 fee — the same price regardless of how long it takes
- Price match promise: we match any lower quote from a comparable firm
What self employed clients say
From freelancers filing for the first time to established sole traders switching from a more expensive accountant — here is what working with Wings looks like in practice.
Absolutely brilliant service. Prads is so efficient and knowledgeable. For the first time I feel well supported and informed over my self assessment returns and tax advice in general. Thank you!
Working with Prad is an absolute lifesaver as someone just starting out in the business world. Being new to everything, it can feel incredibly overwhelming, but Prad makes the whole process straightforward and stress-free. His knowledge of UK accounting and HM Revenue & Customs is second to none, and he always takes the time to explain things clearly rather than leaving me confused.
Everything your self assessment needs
One fixed fee covers the full return — preparation, allowances, filing, and a plain-English explanation of what you owe and when.
Self Assessment Tax Return — £150
Your SA100 and SA302 are prepared by a qualified accountant, covering income from employment, self employment, rental, dividends, or any combination. Every applicable allowance and relief is identified and applied — payments on account explained — and the return is filed to HMRC on time. You receive a clear summary of your tax position before anything is submitted.
Fixed one-off annual feeTax Planning and Allowance Review
Before your return is filed, your income and expenses are reviewed to ensure nothing claimable is missed. For sole traders this includes business expenses, use-of-home claims, capital allowances, and pension relief where relevant. Getting this right at the preparation stage is considerably less complicated than correcting it afterwards.
Included in the £150 feeBookkeeping and VAT for Sole Traders
If your books need tidying before the return can be prepared, or if you need ongoing monthly bookkeeping, that is quoted separately based on volume. VAT registration advice, quarterly returns, and Making Tax Digital compliance for sole traders approaching or over the threshold are also available. Pricing is transparent and provided upfront.
Quoted based on requirementsConsistently good across different client types

What makes this different from the next firm on the list
Price is the obvious starting point. But there are a few other things worth knowing before you decide.
The lowest price, guaranteed
Self assessment for sole traders is a fixed £150. That is the full price — SA100, SA302, allowances, and HMRC submission. Wings is the best priced online accountancy practice in the UK and backs that up with a price match promise: show us a lower quote from a comparable firm and we will match it.
Plain English, not jargon
Before anything is filed, you receive a clear summary of your tax position in terms that make sense — what you owe, when it is due, and why. Most accountants complete the work and send a confirmation. We explain what actually happened, so you finish the year understanding your numbers rather than just accepting them.
Qualified, regulated, and insured
The work is carried out by qualified accountants (ACA). Wings Online Filings is an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) registered with Companies House, supervised by HMRC for Anti-Money Laundering purposes, ICO registered, and covered by professional indemnity insurance. For a fixed £150 service, that is a reasonable level of reassurance.
Up and running in four steps
Most clients go from first contact to filed return without needing to do much more than gather their income figures and answer a few straightforward questions.

Fill in the short form on this page or call 020 8089 1876. You will hear back the same day with a confirmed fixed fee and a clear explanation of what is included. No vague estimates.
Share your income details
You provide your income figures, any business expenses, and any other relevant sources such as rental or employment income. If your records are partial or disorganised, that is fine — we work with what you have and ask only what we need.
We prepare and review
Your return is prepared, all allowances are applied, and a summary is sent to you before anything goes to HMRC. You approve it. If anything looks unclear, it is explained before submission — not after.
Filed, done, move on
Your return is filed to HMRC. You receive confirmation, a clear note of what you owe and when, and a copy of everything for your records. Tax return done for another year, without the Sunday evening dread.
“Professional, efficient, confidence that everything is taken care of.”
Things people usually want to know first
I am self employed with income from a few different sources — can you handle a more complicated return?
Yes. The £150 fixed fee covers income from multiple sources — self employment, employment, rental income, dividends, savings interest, or any combination. You will not need to pre-sort your income into categories before sending it across. The return is prepared to capture everything that applies to your situation, with each income source handled correctly for HMRC’s purposes.
What exactly is included in the £150 self assessment fee?
Preparation of your SA100 and SA302, review of all applicable allowances and reliefs, advice on payments on account, and submission to HMRC. You also receive a clear summary of your tax position before anything is filed. There are no additional charges for multiple income sources or for straightforward tax planning within the return. Bookkeeping or VAT work, if required, is quoted separately.
My records are not in great shape — will that be a problem?
Not necessarily. Most sole traders come to us with records in varying states of order. We will tell you exactly what we need, work with what you have, and flag any gaps before we start rather than halfway through. If there is catch-up bookkeeping needed before the return can be prepared, that is scoped and priced separately so you know the full cost upfront.
Is there a contract or minimum commitment?
No. The self assessment service is a one-off fixed fee — there is no annual subscription, no rolling contract, and no minimum term. You engage us for the return, we file it, and that is the end of the transaction unless you choose to come back. Most clients do, which is how we prefer it, but there is no obligation built in.
What if I have not filed for a previous year or missed a deadline?
Late returns can still be filed and penalties limited where possible. HMRC charges automatic late filing penalties from the deadline date, but getting the return in promptly reduces further accrual. We handle late filings regularly — the process is the same as a current-year return, and we will confirm the fee and any known penalty position before you commit.
Can you help me reduce my tax bill, or is this just a compliance service?
Both. The fee includes a review of your allowances and reliefs before filing — the goal is to make sure you are not paying more than you legally need to. For more structured tax planning around pension contributions, timing of income, or use-of-home claims, that can be discussed at the outset and, where additional advisory work is needed, scoped and priced clearly.
Self assessment sorted, for a fixed £150.
A qualified accountant prepares your return, claims every allowance that applies, and files it to HMRC. Fixed fee, plain English, no contract. The price match promise applies if you find it cheaper elsewhere.
