Sound familiar?
Still not sure what your tax bill is going to be this year?
Running a business leaves little time for the books. Most owners either leave accounting too late, pay more than necessary because no one reviewed their position, or spend hours trying to understand software that should be doing the work for them. None of that is unusual. It is also largely avoidable.
- ✕ Tax bill arriving as a surprise rather than a number you already knew
- ✕ Hours lost switching between accounting software and HMRC deadlines with no clear guidance
- ✕ Paying high accountancy fees with no plain-English explanation of what you actually owe
What a sorted online accountant looks like
A qualified accountant who already knows the landscape — deadlines, reliefs, obligations — and handles the filings while keeping you informed in plain terms. The numbers are yours to understand, not just filed away.
- ✓ Your tax bill calculated and communicated well before the deadline
- ✓ Deadlines tracked and submissions handled — you are told what is needed, when, and why
- ✓ Fixed, published fees so you know what you are paying before the work begins
- ✓ Price match promise — show us a lower quote from any UK accountancy firm and we will match it
What UK business owners say after switching
From first-time founders to established companies, clients describe less to worry about, clear communication, and considerably less time spent on paperwork.
Working with Prad is an absolute lifesaver as someone just starting out in the business world. Being new to everything, it can feel incredibly overwhelming, but Prad makes the whole process straightforward and stress-free. His knowledge of UK accounting and HM Revenue & Customs is second to none, and he always takes the time to explain things clearly rather than leaving me confused. Having someone I can fully trust to handle my filings means I can focus on actually growing my business rather than drowning in paperwork. If you’re a new business owner looking for a reliable, knowledgeable accountant, I couldn’t recommend Prad highly enough!
Working with Wings Online Filings Ltd has been an absolute pleasure. They are highly communicative, supportive, and provide a responsive, cost-effective service that perfectly suits my small architecture practice. I switched from another accountant about a year ago and haven’t looked back since. Their expertise, efficiency, and positive ‘can-do’ attitude make them stand out, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone seeking a new accountant.

What makes this practice different from most
Three things that matter when choosing an online accountant — and how Wings delivers on each.
The lowest price — matched in writing
Wings Online Filings is the best priced online accountancy practice in the UK, with fixed fees published upfront: company accounts and tax return £250, self assessment £150. The price match promise is not a slogan — show us a lower quote from any UK firm and we match it in writing. No negotiation required.
Numbers explained, not just filed
There is a difference between an accountant who files your return and one who tells you what it means. Wings explains your tax position, your obligations, and your options in plain terms — no jargon, no assumed knowledge. You leave every interaction knowing where you stand.
Qualified, regulated, and ACSP-registered
The team holds ACA qualification with over seven years of practice experience and is an Authorised Corporate Service Provider registered with Companies House. Wings is also HMRC AML supervised, ICO registered, and holds Professional Indemnity Insurance — the compliance that gives you confidence the work is done correctly.
Up and running in four straightforward steps
The process is designed to take as little of your time as possible. Most clients are onboarded and their first filing underway within a week of making contact.
Request a free quote
Tell us a little about your business and what you need. The free quote form takes about two minutes. You will receive a fixed-fee quote or a tailored proposal the same day, Monday to Friday.
We review your records
Once you are happy with the quote, share access to your accounts — whether that is Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, Sage, or a spreadsheet. If the records need catching up, we handle that as part of the onboarding without drama.
We handle the filings
Accounts, tax returns, VAT, payroll — all prepared accurately and submitted on time to HMRC and Companies House. You approve before anything is filed. We flag anything that needs a decision in plain English, not in accounting shorthand.
Your books are clean, year-round
With filings handled and books kept current, you know your tax position at any point in the year. No scramble in January. No surprise bills in April. Just a clear picture of where you stand — which is, frankly, the way it should be.
“Prads was very professional and efficient with good communication. My accounts were put together very quickly, a huge weight off my mind. Definitely recommend their services.”
Things people usually ask before getting started
Do you work with businesses across the whole of the UK, not just London?
Yes. Wings Online Filings operates entirely online, serving clients remotely across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The registered office is in London but no client has ever needed to visit it. Everything — onboarding, document sharing, approvals, and communication — is handled digitally.
What does it cost, and what exactly is included?
Core compliance services are fixed-fee and published upfront: company accounts and corporation tax return £250, self assessment tax return £150, dormant company accounts £50, confirmation statement filing £70. Ongoing services such as bookkeeping, VAT, and payroll are quoted based on your requirements — you receive a fixed price before any work begins. If you find a lower quote from another UK accountancy firm, we will match it.
My books are not in great shape. Can you still help?
Yes, and it is more common than you might expect. Catch-up bookkeeping and accounts clean-up are part of the onboarding process for a number of clients. The state of your records does not prevent us from helping — it just means we start there. The catch-up cost will be quoted separately and agreed before work begins, so there are no surprises.
Is there a long-term contract I need to sign?
No. There is no minimum term and no lock-in. Fixed-fee services are one-off transactions — you pay for the work, it is done. For ongoing services, either party can end the arrangement with reasonable notice. If you leave, your records are yours and will be handed over cleanly.
Which accounting software do you work with?
Wings is a Xero Bronze Partner, QuickBooks ProAdvisor, FreeAgent Practice Partner, and Sage Accredited. If you are already using one of these platforms, we work within it. If you are not using any software, we can advise on the right fit for your business and help you get set up — including Dext for receipt capture if that is useful.
How far in advance will I know what my tax bill is?
The goal is that you know your tax position well before the payment deadline, not the week HMRC sends a reminder. For limited companies, the corporation tax figure is communicated when accounts are drafted — typically months before the payment due date. For self assessment, the same applies: your liability is calculated and discussed before submission so payments on account are planned, not a shock.
Less time on the accounts. More on the business.
