Personal Tax Accountant

Your personal tax return, handled properly.

Most people file their own self assessment until the year it goes wrong — a missed relief, an undeclared income source, a penalty that could have been avoided. A qualified accountant reviews everything, claims what you are entitled to, and files before the deadline. Self assessment from £150 fixed fee, qualified ACA-level expertise, questions answered the day you ask them.

  • Know your tax bill well before HMRC sends the reminder
  • All allowances and reliefs identified and correctly claimed
  • Multiple income sources handled without needing to explain each one
  • Filed on time — no late filing penalties, no £100 surprises

No long-term contract. If it is not working after your first return, you leave with everything filed and nothing owed.

Sound familiar?

Still not sure what your tax bill will be?

Self assessment is straightforward until it is not — a rental property added mid-year, income from two employers, a freelance project alongside a PAYE role. Each source introduces questions most people cannot confidently answer. The deadline comes around, the return gets rushed, and reliefs get missed. HMRC rarely tells you what you could have claimed.

  • Unsure whether you have claimed all the reliefs you are entitled to
  • Multiple income sources making the return harder to complete accurately
  • Filing late — or leaving it to the last week — because it keeps getting pushed back

What a sorted return looks like

A qualified accountant reviews your income, identifies every applicable relief, and prepares the return correctly. You see your tax position before it is filed, not after. The deadline does not sneak up.

  • Every applicable allowance and relief identified before the return is filed
  • All income sources handled correctly, however many there are
  • Return filed well ahead of the deadline — no penalties, no last-minute panic
  • Fixed £150 fee for self assessment — no surprises on the bill either

One fixed fee covers the full return — preparation, reliefs, advice on payments on account, and timely submission to HMRC.

01

Your Tax Bill, Known Early

Your SA100 and SA302 are prepared once all income and expenses are gathered, so your liability is visible before anything is filed. Advice on payments on account is included — no unexpected January demands. You approve the return before it goes anywhere.

02

Every Relief Correctly Claimed

Employment expenses, pension contributions, marriage allowance, property allowances, trading expenses — each return is reviewed against your specific circumstances. Included as standard
03

Multiple Income Sources Handled

PAYE employment alongside freelance work, rental income, dividends, capital receipts, foreign income — each source is categorised and reported correctly. You will not need to explain the tax treatment of each one before getting a useful answer. We work with these combinations every day.

Why Wings Online Filings

What makes the difference on a personal tax return

There are plenty of accountants who will file your return. Fewer who will explain what it means, identify what you missed, and stay on top of it year after year.

💷

Fixed £150 — No Surprises

Self assessment is £150 fixed, published upfront, and backed by a price match promise: show us a quote from a business with a lower price and we will match it. You know the cost before you share a single document. There is no hourly rate that quietly climbs.

📋

Reliefs Found Before Filing

Most people filing their own return do not know what they have missed until an accountant reviews a prior year. We review your position before the return is prepared — not after. Employment expenses, allowances, pension relief, and property deductions are all considered as a matter of course.

🗓️

Filed Well Ahead of the Deadline

The January deadline concentrates the minds of most self-filers, which is precisely when mistakes happen. We work ahead of it. Your return is prepared, reviewed with you, and submitted before the rush — so a late filing penalty is not something you will need to think about.

Getting started

Your return sorted in four steps

From first contact to filed return, the process is straightforward and requires very little from you beyond gathering your documents.

1

Get a Quote in Minutes

Fill in the short form above and receive a fixed quote — usually the same day. Self assessment is £150 for most returns. For more complex situations, a clear quote is provided before any work begins.

2

Share Your Documents Securely

P60s, P11D, rental statements, bank interest notices — share whatever you have through our secure online process. No need to visit an office. If anything is missing, we will let you know exactly what is needed and why.

3

We Prepare and Review the Return

Your SA100 and SA302 are prepared by a qualified accountant. Your tax liability, any payments on account, and all applicable reliefs are explained in plain terms before the return is filed. You approve it — nothing is submitted without your sign-off.

4

Filed, Confirmed, Done

Once approved, the return is submitted to HMRC and you receive confirmation. Your tax position is clear, the deadline is behind you, and the same accountant is available for questions throughout the year — not just in January.

Questions

Things people ask before getting started

I have income from employment, freelance work, and a rental property — can you handle all three on one return?+

Yes. Returns with multiple income sources are prepared as standard. PAYE employment, self-employment or freelance income, rental income, dividends, and interest are all reported on a single SA100. Each source is categorised correctly and the appropriate reliefs applied. The £150 fixed fee covers most personal tax returns regardless of how many income types are involved — more complex situations such as foreign income or capital disposals may attract a tailored quote.

What does £150 include — and are there any extra charges?+

The £150 fixed fee covers preparation of your SA100 and SA302, assistance with income from multiple sources, identification and claiming of applicable allowances and reliefs, advice on payments on account, and timely submission to HMRC. For returns involving capital gains, property disposals, or foreign income, a tailored quote is provided upfront before any work begins. There are no hourly rates or hidden charges.

My records are in a bit of a state — do I need to sort them out before coming to you?+

Not necessarily. Share what you have and we will identify any gaps. For personal tax returns, most of what is needed is obtainable directly from HMRC’s online portal, from employers, pension providers, and banks. If there is catch-up work required — for example, if you have missed a prior year — a separate quote is provided for that work before anything is started.

Am I locked in for multiple years, or can I use you for a single return?+

There is no contract and no obligation to return each year, though most clients do. You can engage Wings for a one-off self assessment and that is the end of it if you choose. If you decide to continue, the same accountant handles your return each year, which means less time spent explaining your situation from scratch.

I have not filed my self assessment for a previous year — can you help with that?+

Yes. Late or missed returns are handled regularly. HMRC penalties for late filing start at £100 and increase over time, so the sooner a late return is filed the better. We will review your position, prepare the outstanding return or returns, and where there are grounds to appeal any penalties already charged, advise on the appropriate steps.

Is there anything I can do now to reduce my tax bill for the current year?+

Timing of pension contributions, use of the marriage allowance, structuring of allowable expenses, and planning around payments on account are all areas where the right decisions before the year-end can reduce the final bill. We review your position as part of the return process — not as an add-on service — so where a planning point is relevant, it is raised.
