Sound familiar?

Still not sure what your accountant is actually charging for?

A lot of small business owners are paying more than they should — or piecing things together themselves because they assumed professional accounting was out of reach. The books drift, deadlines creep up, and the tax bill arrives as a surprise rather than something you planned for. It does not have to work that way.

  • ✕ Unclear accountancy bills with no fixed price agreed in advance
  • ✕ Year-end accounts left until the deadline, then filed in a rush
  • ✕ No sense of what the tax bill will be until HMRC sends the notice

What affordable and sorted looks like

Fixed prices published before you commit. Accounts prepared accurately and filed well before the deadline. Your tax position visible months in advance, not the week HMRC writes to you.

  • ✓ Fixed fees from £150 — agreed upfront, no additions without your approval
  • ✓ Year-end accounts prepared and filed ahead of the deadline, not against it
  • ✓ Tax liability calculated early so you can plan payments with confidence
  • ✓ Price match promise — show us a lower quote and we will match it

02

Self Assessment Tax Return

Why Wings Online Filings

Why small businesses choose Wings over local accountants

Three things that consistently come up when clients explain why they switched — and stayed.

💷

Prices published, not quoted on request

Company accounts are £250. Self assessment is £150. Dormant company accounts are £50. These are not starting points for a negotiation — they are the actual price. If you find a qualified accountancy firm charging less, show us the quote and we will match it. That is the entirety of the pricing policy.

🗣️

Plain English, no accounting jargon

Most small business owners do not need a lecture on deferred tax or brought-forward losses. They need to know what they owe, when to pay it, and whether anything needs to change. Every piece of work comes with a plain explanation so you leave the conversation actually understanding your finances, not nodding along.

Qualified, regulated, and genuinely involved

Wings Online Filings is an Authorised Corporate Service Provider registered with Companies House, HMRC AML supervised, and holds Professional Indemnity Insurance. Pradhyuman Borana, the firm’s founder, remains directly involved in client work — so the person who knows your accounts is the person you speak to, not a junior passing messages up the chain.

Getting started

Up and running in four steps

From first contact to first filing, most clients are set up and moving within a few days. The process is designed around your schedule, not ours.

1

Get a free quote

Complete the short online form or call 020 8089 1876. You will receive a fixed quote based on your business type and what you actually need — no vague estimates, no hourly rates to worry about.

2

Share your documents

Once you are happy to proceed, you share the relevant records securely online. If your books are behind or in some disarray, that is not unusual — catch-up work is straightforward and the cost is agreed upfront before anything starts.

3

We prepare and file

The accounts, tax return, or filing are prepared by a qualified accountant and reviewed before submission. You receive a clear summary of what was filed, what you owe, and when any payments are due — in plain terms, not accounting output.

4

Your compliance is handled

Deadlines are tracked, reminders go out well in advance, and HMRC correspondence is considerably less likely to land unexpectedly. Most clients describe the main change as knowing where they stand — which is, frankly, what a good accountant should deliver as a matter of course.

Questions

Things small business owners usually ask first

Do you work with very small businesses, or only established companies?+

Most clients are sole traders, freelancers, or small limited companies — many at the point of their first filing or just starting out. There is no minimum turnover or complexity requirement. The fixed fees are the same whether you have been trading six months or six years, and the work is treated with the same care regardless of the size of the business.

What does it actually cost, and what is included?+

Company accounts and corporation tax return: £250 as a one-off annual fee. Self assessment tax return: £150. Dormant company accounts: £50. Confirmation statement: £70. All are fixed prices with no additions unless you request extra work. Bookkeeping, VAT, and payroll are quoted based on your specific requirements. Every quote is agreed before any work begins.

What if my books are behind or in a bit of a state?+

Catch-up bookkeeping is a routine part of the work here. Most new clients arrive with records that are incomplete, duplicated, or simply unreconciled — that is not a problem. The catch-up cost is quoted and agreed in advance so there are no unexpected additions when the work is done. Clean books are the starting point, not an assumption.

Is there a long-term contract or a minimum commitment?+

No. One-off fixed-fee services require no ongoing commitment at all — you instruct each filing separately. For monthly services such as bookkeeping, payroll, or VAT, there is no long-term lock-in. If you decide to leave, your records are handed over in order and nothing further is owed. The intention is to keep clients by being worth keeping, not by contract.

Can you take over from an existing accountant mid-year?+

Yes, and it is straightforward. Once you confirm you want to switch, we contact your previous accountant directly for the professional clearance and any outstanding records. You do not need to chase paperwork between firms. Mid-year switches are common and the transition is handled without disruption to your compliance calendar.

How far in advance will I know what my tax bill is?+

The aim is to have your tax position clear well before any payment deadline — not the week HMRC expects to hear from you. For limited company directors that means knowing the corporation tax liability before the accounts are filed, and for self assessment clients it means the return is prepared with enough lead time to plan the January payment. Surprises are largely avoidable when the work is done early.
