Sound familiar?
Still not sure what your tax bill will be?
Most Glasgow business owners we speak to are not neglecting their accounts on purpose. There is simply not enough time, and accounting software does not explain what the numbers actually mean. Deadlines creep up, records fall behind, and at some point a letter from HMRC arrives that demands urgent attention. It does not have to work that way.
- Tax bill lands as a surprise because the figures were never tracked properly
- Year-end accounts submitted in a rush, with no time to check the detail
- No clear sense of whether the business is compliant with HMRC and Companies House
What staying on top looks like
When your books are kept current and your tax position is visible throughout the year, the only thing that changes at year-end is the confirmation. We do the work; you see the numbers.
- Your tax position tracked monthly, so the bill is never a surprise
- Year-end accounts prepared properly, reviewed, and filed on time
- Compliance with HMRC and Companies House managed throughout the year
- Fixed fees published upfront, so cost is clear before you commit

What makes the difference in practice
There are a lot of accountants. Here is what clients in Glasgow and across the UK actually notice once they start working with us.
Fixed Fees, No Hidden Costs
Core compliance services carry a published fixed fee, so you know the cost before agreeing to anything. A limited company accounts and tax return is £250. A self assessment return is £150. Ongoing services such as bookkeeping and payroll are quoted based on your requirements, and those quotes do not change without notice.
Plain English, Not Accountant-Speak
We explain what the numbers mean, not just what they are. Whether that is walking through a tax computation or flagging a VAT registration threshold you are approaching, the aim is that you leave every conversation knowing where you stand. Clients consistently mention this as the thing that makes the biggest practical difference.
Credible, Regulated, and Properly Covered
Wings Online Filings is an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) registered with Companies House and AML-supervised by HMRC. The firm carries professional indemnity insurance and is a Xero Bronze Partner, QuickBooks ProAdvisor, FreeAgent Practice Partner, and Sage Accredited. Qualified accountants with over five years of UK practice experience handle your work.
Up and running in four straightforward steps
The process is designed to be light on your time. Most clients are set up and have their first deliverable within a few weeks of getting in touch.
Tell Us About Your Business
Fill in the short quote form or book a call. We ask a few questions about your business type, current software, and what needs doing. No lengthy onboarding questionnaires, just enough to give you an accurate quote.
We Send a Clear Proposal
You receive a fixed-fee quote covering exactly what is included, with no ambiguity about scope or cost. If your situation is straightforward, this usually comes back the same day. If it is more complex, we will say so and explain why.
We Collect What We Need
Once you are happy to proceed, we request access to your existing records and any prior-year filings. If the books are behind or in need of a clean-up, we handle that as part of the engagement. You do not need to prepare anything in advance.
Your Accounts Are in Order
From this point, filings go out on time, your tax position is visible, and HMRC correspondence is handled by someone who knows what to do with it. Most clients describe the main change as having considerably less to think about.
“Professional, efficient, confidence that everything is taken care of.”
A few things Glasgow clients often ask
Do you actually work with businesses in Glasgow, or is this just a location page?
We work with clients across the whole of the UK, including businesses in Glasgow, entirely online. There is no requirement to visit an office or attend any in-person meetings. Everything is handled remotely by video call, email, and shared documents, and it works well for clients from Edinburgh to Glasgow to Cardiff. The service is identical regardless of where you are based.
What does it cost, and what exactly is included?
Core compliance services carry a fixed one-off annual fee: company accounts and corporation tax return £250, self assessment tax return £150, dormant company accounts £50, and confirmation statement filing £70. Each fee includes preparation, computation, and submission to HMRC and Companies House, with no add-ons for filing. Bookkeeping, VAT, and payroll are quoted based on your volume and requirements.
My books are a bit behind. Can you still help?
Yes, and it is one of the more common situations we encounter. Catch-up bookkeeping and accounts clean-up are a normal part of the work we take on. We will review what you have, let you know the scope of what needs doing, and quote accordingly before any work begins. You will not be charged a surprise fee for the state the books are in when you arrive.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. One-off fixed-fee services are exactly that: you pay for the work, the work is done, and there is no ongoing commitment unless you want one. For ongoing services such as monthly bookkeeping or payroll, we work on a rolling basis with reasonable notice to end the arrangement. There is no penalty for leaving, and you keep all your records and filed documents.
Can you take over from my current accountant mid-year?
Yes, and the timing rarely matters as much as people expect. We request the prior-year accounts and any correspondence from your previous accountant and take it from there. Most transitions are straightforward. If there are outstanding issues, we will identify them early and let you know what needs to be resolved.
Can you help with tax planning, not just compliance?
Yes. Alongside the annual compliance work, we review your tax position and flag anything worth addressing before the year-end, including director salary and dividend strategy, capital gains considerations, and whether any reliefs apply to your situation. The aim is that your tax bill is known and planned for, not calculated after the fact.
Get your accounts sorted, properly this time.
Fixed fees on the most common filings. Qualified accountants. Clear advice in plain English. We work with businesses across the UK, entirely online, and Glasgow is no different.
