Still not sure what your tax bill is going to be?
Running a business in Liverpool means there is rarely a quiet moment to sit down with a spreadsheet. Deadlines creep up, HMRC correspondence gets left in a drawer, and the books drift further behind. Most business owners know something needs sorting but are not sure where to start or what it is going to cost.
- Year-end accounts left until the last minute because there was no time earlier
- No clear idea of the tax bill until it is almost due
- Paying for an accountant but not really understanding the numbers they produce

- Year-end accounts prepared and filed well before the deadline
- Tax bill calculated early, with time to plan payments sensibly
- Numbers explained in plain terms so you actually understand your position
- Fixed fee agreed at the start, with no unexpected invoice at the end

What makes working with us different
There are plenty of accountants to choose from. Here is what tends to matter once clients have worked with us for a while.
Fixed Fees, Agreed Upfront
The fee is confirmed before any work starts, so there is no uncomfortable conversation at the end of the year. Core compliance services carry published fixed fees: £250 for company accounts and tax, £150 for self assessment, £70 for a confirmation statement. Ongoing work such as bookkeeping and VAT is quoted based on volume, with the figure agreed before we begin.
Numbers Explained, Not Just Filed
Filing the return is the minimum. We explain what the numbers mean, what your tax position is, and what you could do differently next year. Clients consistently tell us it is the first time they have actually felt in control of their finances, rather than just trusting that it was handled.
Credible, Regulated, and Accountable
Wings Online Filings is an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) registered with Companies House, AML-supervised by HMRC, and covered by professional indemnity insurance. Our qualified accountants have supported more than 400 UK businesses across a range of industries. That is the level of oversight and experience behind every filing we submit.
Up and running in four straightforward steps
The whole process happens online. Most clients are set up and have their first deliverable in hand within a few weeks of getting in touch.

Share Your Records
Send us your records however they currently exist, whether that is a Xero file, a folder of bank statements, or a spreadsheet held together with optimism. If there is catch-up work to do, we will say so and agree a price before starting.
We Handle the Filing
Accounts are prepared, tax is calculated, and everything is submitted to HMRC and Companies House on time. We keep you updated throughout and ask if anything needs clarifying.
You Focus on the Business
With filings submitted and your tax position understood, you can get back to running the business. You will know what is due, when, and why, which is considerably more useful than a filing confirmation and silence.
“Professional, efficient, confidence that everything is taken care of.”
A few things Liverpool business owners tend to ask
Do you actually work with Liverpool businesses, or do you need a local office to visit?
We work entirely online and serve clients across the whole of the UK, including Liverpool and the wider Merseyside area. Everything is handled remotely: documents are shared securely, calls happen via phone or video, and you will never need to travel anywhere. Most clients find the online model more convenient than a local office, particularly for straightforward compliance work.
What does it cost, and what is included in the fee?
Company accounts and tax returns are a fixed £250 annual fee, covering preparation of the profit and loss account, balance sheet, CT600, corporation tax computation, submission to HMRC and Companies House, and tax planning. Self assessment is a fixed £150 annual fee, covering the full SA100 and SA302, all income sources, applicable reliefs, and payments-on-account advice. Bookkeeping, VAT, and payroll are quoted based on the volume of work involved, with the fee agreed before we start.
My books are in a bit of a state. Can you still help?
Yes, and this is fairly common. We can work with records in most conditions, whether that is a partially completed Xero file, several months of unreconciled bank statements, or a spreadsheet that has grown beyond what it was designed to handle. If catch-up bookkeeping is needed, we will assess what is involved and agree a fee before doing anything.
Is there a long-term contract, and what happens if I want to leave?
There is no long-term contract. One-off compliance services are priced per filing with no ongoing commitment. For ongoing services such as bookkeeping or payroll, a monthly arrangement is used but there is no minimum term. If you decide to move on, your records are returned to you in an orderly state and there is nothing further owed.
Do you handle Making Tax Digital for VAT?
Yes. VAT returns are filed under Making Tax Digital using compatible software including Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and Sage. If you are not yet set up for MTD or are unsure whether you should be registered for VAT, we can advise on both. VAT scheme selection (Standard, Flat Rate) is also covered as part of the initial review.
Can you help me understand what my tax bill is likely to be, rather than just telling me afterwards?
That is one of the more useful things we do. Once your accounts are prepared, or at any point during the year if you share current records, we can give you a clear picture of the likely tax liability before it becomes due. That gives you time to plan payments, adjust drawings, or consider whether any reliefs apply, rather than receiving a figure with little time to respond.
