Sound familiar?
Still not sure what you should be paying for an accountant?
A lot of small business owners either overpay because they do not know what is reasonable, or avoid getting proper help because fees feel unpredictable. You might be doing your own returns to save money, only to find mistakes cost more to fix later. Or you have had quotes that never included a number until you were already committed. That is not how accountancy should work.
- Accountancy quotes that arrive without a price attached
- Filing your own returns and quietly hoping you got it right
- Paying for a service with no clear idea of what is actually included
What sorted looks like
Clear fees before you commit. Your filings done accurately by a qualified accountant. Answers to your questions the day you ask them. Less to think about, and nothing lurking.
- Fixed, published prices before you decide anything
- Your returns prepared and submitted correctly by a qualified accountant
- A clear scope so you know exactly what is and is not included
- Company accounts from £250. Self assessment from £150. No hidden extras.
What clients say about working with us
Sole traders, small businesses, and limited companies across the UK. Different industries, same consistent experience.
Working with Wings Online Filings Ltd has been an absolute pleasure. They are highly communicative, supportive, and provide a responsive, cost-effective service that perfectly suits my small architecture practice. I switched from another accountant about a year ago and haven’t looked back since.
Absolutely brilliant service. Prads is so efficient and knowledgeable. For the first time I feel well supported and informed over my self assessment returns and tax advice in general. Thank you!
Fixed-fee services, clearly scoped
The most common filings at a published price. No surprises on the invoice and no ambiguity about what is covered.
Company Accounts and Tax Return
Your annual accounts and CT600 corporation tax return prepared and filed with HMRC and Companies House for a fixed fee of £250. That covers your profit and loss account, balance sheet, tax computation, and basic tax planning. One invoice, one price, one less thing to manage.
From £250 one-offSelf Assessment Tax Return
Your SA100 and SA302 prepared and filed for £150, covering income from multiple sources, applicable allowances and reliefs, and advice on payments on account. You will know your tax liability before the January deadline, not after the reminder lands.
From £150 one-offBookkeeping, VAT, and Payroll
Ongoing services are quoted based on your requirements, because a sole trader with twelve transactions a month and a growing company running weekly payroll are genuinely different jobs. You get a clear quote before anything starts, and the price does not change without a conversation.

What makes the difference
There are a lot of accountancy firms. Here is what is genuinely different about working with us.
Prices published before you commit
Company accounts at £250, self assessment at £150, confirmation statement at £70, dormant accounts at £50. These are the prices. You see them before you enquire, not after a discovery call. If your situation needs a tailored quote, we tell you that upfront too, and nothing starts until you have agreed the figure.
Qualified accountants, properly regulated
Wings Online Filings is an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) registered with Companies House, AML-supervised by HMRC, and covered by professional indemnity insurance. The work is done by qualified accountants who stay directly involved in your filings, not passed to junior staff after the sale.
Plain English, not accountant-speak
Most people do not need a lecture on tax law. They need to know what the number is, when it is due, and what to do next. That is how we explain things. You will leave every conversation knowing exactly where you stand.
Up and running in four steps
Most clients are fully set up within a few days. The process is straightforward, and the bulk of the work is on our side.

Fill in the short form on this page or call us directly. Tell us what you need and we will confirm the fixed fee or provide a tailored quote. No obligation, and no vague ‘from’ pricing.
Share your records
We will tell you exactly what we need and how to send it. If your books are in good shape, the process is quick. If there is some catch-up work required, we will flag it and agree the scope before starting.
We prepare and file
Your accounts or returns are prepared by a qualified accountant, checked, and submitted to HMRC and Companies House as required. You review and approve before anything is filed. No surprises.
Back to running your business
Your filings are done, your deadlines are met, and you know what your tax position looks like. Less sitting with a spreadsheet on a Sunday evening, and less of that background worry about whether everything is in order.
“Professional, efficient, confidence that everything is taken care of.”
Things people usually ask before getting started
What exactly does ‘affordable’ mean in practice?
It means the fees are published before you enquire and they do not change once agreed. Company accounts and corporation tax return: £250. Self assessment: £150. Confirmation statement: £70. Dormant company accounts: £50. Ongoing services like bookkeeping, VAT, and payroll are quoted based on your volume and requirements, and you receive a written figure before anything starts. There are no discovery-call fees, no minimum-term tie-ins, and no add-on charges for standard correspondence.
What is included in the fixed fee? Are there things that cost extra?
The fixed fee covers preparation, review, and submission of the relevant filing, plus basic tax planning where applicable. For the company accounts package, that includes your P&L, balance sheet, CT600, tax computation, and filing with both HMRC and Companies House. What it does not include is catch-up bookkeeping if your records need significant work before we can start, or advisory services that go beyond the standard compliance scope. We tell you upfront if either of those applies.
My books are a bit behind. Can you still help?
Yes. We regularly take on clients whose records need some tidying before we can file. If catch-up bookkeeping is required, we will assess the volume, give you a separate quote for that work, and agree it before starting. There is no pressure, and the fixed filing fee stays the same once the books are in shape. Most catch-up situations are quicker to resolve than clients expect.
Is there a minimum contract or a notice period?
No minimum contract. One-off filings are exactly that: you pay for the work, it gets done, and there is no ongoing commitment unless you want one. For clients on a monthly arrangement, we work on a rolling basis. You are not locked in, and if you decide to move on, we will make sure your records are clean and properly handed over.
Can you take over from my existing accountant mid-year?
Yes. A mid-year switch is straightforward in most cases. We request the necessary professional clearance from your previous accountant, collect your records, and carry on from where things left off. The timing rarely causes a problem, and switching does not affect your filing deadlines. If you are close to a deadline, let us know and we will prioritise accordingly.
Will I actually know what my tax bill is going to be in advance?
That is the idea. One of the more frustrating aspects of leaving filings late is that the tax bill arrives as a surprise. When we prepare your accounts, we work through the figures and tell you the liability well before it falls due. For self assessment clients, that includes a conversation about payments on account so the January and July figures are not a shock.
