Sound familiar?
Still not sure what your tax bill will be this year?
Most sole traders we speak to are not behind because they do not care. They are behind because running the business takes priority and the accounts keep slipping down the list. By the time January comes around, it is a scramble to find receipts, reconcile bank statements, and hope nothing has been missed. The tax bill arrives and it is either higher than expected or you realise there were allowances you never claimed.
- Tax bill arrives in January with very little warning or planning time
- Evenings spent on receipts and bank statements that should take minutes
- Not confident that every allowable expense is actually being claimed
What keeping on top of it looks like
With the right accountant, your tax position is visible well before any deadline. Your books are current, your expenses are reviewed, and you know exactly what you owe and when. The admin is off your plate.
- Your tax bill calculated months ahead, with time to plan and save
- Bookkeeping handled regularly so there is no end-of-year catch-up scramble
- Every legitimate expense reviewed and claimed by a qualified accountant
- Fixed fees published upfront, so there are no billing surprises either
What London sole traders say about us
These are two of the clients who came to us not quite sure where things stood, and left with a clear picture and considerably less to worry about.
Absolutely brilliant service. Prads is so efficient and knowledgeable. For the first time I feel well supported and informed over my self assessment returns and tax advice in general. Thank you!
Wings Online Filings are such a great find! I dealt with Prads, who has been nothing short of helpful in helping me wind up my business and accounts. Prads made everything super simple and has just finished the whole process end to end in a matter of weeks. Would highly recommend. Thanks again!
The services sole traders use most
Core compliance covered under clear fixed fees, with bookkeeping and VAT quoted based on your volume. No bundled packages you do not need.
Self Assessment Tax Return
Your SA100 and SA302 prepared and filed with HMRC for a fixed fee of £150. We cover income from multiple sources, claim every applicable allowance and relief, and advise on payments on account so the next bill is not a surprise. Filed on time, correctly, with nothing left on the table.
Fixed fee: £150Bookkeeping and Cloud Accounting
Monthly bookkeeping keeps your records current and your bank reconciled, so there is no frantic catch-up at year end. We work with Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and Sage, and can take over from where you are now. Catch-up and clean-up work is also available if things have fallen behind.
Quote-based on volumeVAT Returns and MTD Compliance
If you are VAT-registered, we prepare and submit your quarterly or monthly returns, handle Making Tax Digital requirements, and advise on the right scheme for your business. We also help with initial registration and scheme selection if you are approaching the VAT threshold for the first time.

What makes working with us different
Three things that come up consistently in client feedback, and that we think are worth explaining properly.
Your tax bill, visible in advance
We do not file your return and disappear. Once your books are in order, you will know your likely tax liability months before it is due. That gives you time to plan, save, or adjust rather than reacting to a bill you were not expecting. For sole traders, that kind of forward visibility makes a real difference to cash flow.
Qualified, regulated, and properly insured
We are qualified accountants and an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) registered with Companies House, AML-supervised by HMRC, and covered by professional indemnity insurance. That means you are working with a regulated firm, not an unaffiliated bookkeeper. The distinction matters when HMRC comes calling or something needs correcting.
Plain English, not accounting jargon
We explain what your numbers mean, not just what they are. When your self assessment is filed, you will understand what you paid, why, and what to expect next year. If you have a question between filings, you ask it and get a straight answer the same day. That is how it should work.
Up and running in four steps
Most clients are onboarded and have their first filing underway within a week. The process is straightforward and the effort on your side is minimal.
Tell us about your situation
Fill in the quote form or book a call. We ask a few straightforward questions about your income sources, current software (if any), and what you need help with. No jargon, no lengthy questionnaires.
We send a clear fixed quote
You receive a written quote with a clear breakdown of what is included and what it costs. Self assessment starts at £150. If you need bookkeeping or VAT as well, those are quoted separately based on your volume.
Share your records with us
We guide you through connecting your accounting software or sharing the records we need. If your books are behind or in a bit of a state, that is fine. Catch-up work is something we handle regularly.
Filed, confirmed, and done
Your return is prepared, reviewed with you, and filed. You receive confirmation from HMRC and a clear note of what you owe and when it is due. After that, your tax is off the list and you can get on with running the business.
“Professional, efficient, confidence that everything is taken care of.”
Things sole traders ask us before getting started
I have income from more than one source. Can you handle a more complicated self assessment?
Yes. We regularly file returns covering employment income alongside self-employed income, rental income, dividend income, and other sources. The SA100 covers all of this. We will ask you upfront about everything you receive so nothing is left out and every applicable relief is claimed correctly.
What does a self assessment actually cost, and what is included?
Self assessment is a fixed fee of £150 for a sole trader return. That covers preparation of the SA100 and SA302, income from multiple sources, claiming applicable allowances and reliefs, payments-on-account advice, and timely submission to HMRC. If your situation involves something more complex, we will say so upfront and quote accordingly before any work begins.
My records are not in great shape. Can you still help?
Yes, and you would not be the first. We offer catch-up and clean-up bookkeeping for clients who have fallen behind or who have been managing things themselves and are not confident the numbers are right. We will give you an honest assessment of what needs doing and what it costs before starting.
Is there a minimum contract or lock-in period?
No. You can start with a single filing and see how it goes. There is no minimum contract for one-off services like self assessment. If you choose ongoing bookkeeping or VAT support, those arrangements are agreed separately and you are not locked in for a fixed term.
Do I need to switch my accounting software to work with you?
Not necessarily. We work with Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and Sage, so if you are already using one of those, we can connect to your existing account. If you are using spreadsheets or nothing at all, we will recommend a suitable option and help you get set up.
Can you help me reduce my tax bill, or is it just about filing?
Both. Filing accurately is the baseline, but part of our job is making sure you are not overpaying. That means reviewing your allowable expenses, checking whether any reliefs apply, and advising on payments on account so you are not caught short. If there are specific planning questions, such as whether to incorporate, we can discuss those separately.
