Sound familiar?

Still not sure what your tax bill will be this year?

A lot of Nottingham business owners reach tax deadlines having had little visibility of what they owe all year. The numbers sit in a spreadsheet or a bank feed that nobody has looked at properly since last January. The filing gets done, but the planning never quite happens. That tends to be where the surprises come from.

  • Tax bill arriving as a surprise rather than something you planned for
  • Self assessment left to the last minute, with no sense of what reliefs apply
  • Accountant hard to reach or explains very little when they do respond

What your tax looks like when it is handled properly

Your tax position is kept visible throughout the year, not just when a deadline is approaching. You know what you owe, what you can claim, and when to expect the bill. Questions get answered directly, in plain English, without a wait.

  • Your tax liability tracked and visible months before any payment is due
  • Self assessment filed on time, with all applicable reliefs claimed correctly
  • A qualified accountant who explains what the numbers mean and replies promptly
  • Fixed fees agreed in advance, so there are no unexpected costs at year end

★★★★★

Working with Prad is an absolute lifesaver as someone just starting out in the business world. Being new to everything, it can feel incredibly overwhelming, but Prad makes the whole process straightforward and stress-free. His knowledge of UK accounting and HM Revenue & Customs is second to none, and he always takes the time to explain things clearly rather than leaving me confused.

Why clients choose us

What makes working with us different

There is no shortage of accountants. These are the specific reasons clients tend to stay.

📋

You Know Your Tax Bill in Advance

Your tax position is reviewed throughout the year, not only when a return is due. That means you can plan cash flow around what you actually owe, rather than receiving a figure you were not expecting. For most clients, that alone is the biggest practical difference.

🔒

Fixed Fees, Agreed Before the Work Starts

Core compliance services are priced at a fixed one-off annual fee: £250 for company accounts and corporation tax, £150 for self assessment. You know the cost before we begin, and it does not change when the work turns out to be slightly more involved. For ongoing work such as bookkeeping or VAT, a clear quote is agreed upfront.

Qualified, Regulated, and Properly Insured

The firm is staffed by qualified accountants and is an Authorised Corporate Service Provider registered with Companies House. We are AML-supervised by HMRC and covered by professional indemnity insurance. That matters when someone else is responsible for your statutory filings.

Getting started

Up and running in four straightforward steps

The whole process is online. Most clients are set up and have had their first conversation within a day or two of making contact.

1

Request a Quote Online

Fill in the short form on this page or call us on 020 8089 1876. Tell us what you need, your business type, and whether any catch-up work is required. You will receive a clear, fixed quote by return, usually the same day.

2

We Review Your Current Position

Once you are happy to proceed, we take stock of your records and any outstanding filings. If your books need tidying before we can start properly, we will tell you what that involves and what it costs, with no obligation to continue if it is not what you expected.

3

We Handle the Filings

Your returns, accounts, and compliance filings are prepared and submitted on time. We use cloud accounting software so everything is accessible and up to date. You review and approve before anything is filed, and we explain what each figure means in plain terms.

4

You Focus on the Business

With filings handled and your tax position visible throughout the year, the compliance side of running a business becomes considerably less of a burden. You know what is due, when it is due, and what you owe. Which is, frankly, the way it should be.

Questions

Things Nottingham business owners usually ask

Do you actually work with Nottingham businesses, or is this just a location page?+

We serve clients across the UK entirely online, including businesses based in Nottingham and the wider East Midlands. You do not need to visit an office or post any documents. Everything is handled remotely via secure cloud software and video calls where needed. The service is identical to what a local firm would provide, and in most cases clients find it more convenient.

What does it cost, and what is included in the fee?+

Self assessment tax returns are a fixed one-off annual fee of £150, covering SA100 and SA302 preparation, multiple income sources, allowances and reliefs, payments-on-account advice, and HMRC submission. Company accounts with corporation tax are £250, covering the profit and loss account, balance sheet, CT600 computation, filing with both HMRC and Companies House, and tax planning. Dormant company accounts are £50 and confirmation statement filing is £70. Bookkeeping, VAT, and payroll are quoted based on your specific requirements. If you have found a genuine like-for-like quote elsewhere, we are happy to see if we can match it.

My books are behind. Can you still help, and what does catch-up work cost?+

Most clients come to us with records in some state of disarray, particularly if they have been managing things themselves for a year or two. We will review what you have, let you know what needs doing, and give you a clear quote for any catch-up before work begins. There is no obligation to continue if the figure is not what you were expecting. Once things are in order, ongoing work is straightforward.

Is there a minimum contract or lock-in period?+

No. There is no long-term contract and no minimum term. Fixed-fee services are one-off engagements, and ongoing services such as bookkeeping or payroll can be stopped with reasonable notice. If you decide to move to a different accountant, we will prepare a professional handover pack so the transition is straightforward. You should never feel stuck.

Can you help with both my personal tax return and my limited company accounts?+

Yes. Many of our clients are director-shareholders who need both a self assessment return and company accounts filed in the same period. We handle both, and because we are looking at the full picture, we can advise on the most tax-efficient combination of salary and dividends for your situation. That kind of joined-up view tends to save more than the fee costs.

How far in advance will I know what my tax bill is going to be?+

For clients on a monthly bookkeeping arrangement, your tax position is visible throughout the year. For one-off self assessment or company accounts clients, we aim to have your return prepared well before the filing deadline, giving you time to budget for the payment. We also flag payments on account so there are no additional HMRC bills arriving that you were not expecting.
