Sound familiar?
Still not sure where your tax bill stands this year?
Many Edinburgh business owners we speak to are either doing their own books late at night or paying an accountant who files the numbers without explaining them. Deadlines creep up, HMRC correspondence sits unanswered, and the end-of-year scramble becomes an annual event. None of that is inevitable.
- Year-end accounts left until the deadline is already close
- Tax bill arrives as a surprise rather than something planned for
- No clear sense of what your numbers actually mean month to month
What having it handled looks like
We take over the compliance, file everything on time, and explain your numbers in plain terms so you can make decisions with confidence. Your accounts are not just filed, they are understood.
- Year-end accounts prepared and filed well ahead of the deadline
- Tax bill calculated and communicated months before it is due
- Regular, plain-English updates so you always know where you stand
- Fixed fees published upfront, no surprises on the invoice

Why Edinburgh businesses work with us
Working remotely means we are not limited by geography. Edinburgh clients get the same standard of service as any other client, with a qualified accountant handling their work directly.
Fixed Fees, Stated Upfront
The most common filings have a published fixed fee: company accounts and corporation tax at £250, self assessment at £150, dormant accounts at £50, and confirmation statements at £70. For ongoing work such as bookkeeping or VAT, you receive a clear written quote before anything starts. There are no surprise invoices at year end.
Qualified Accountants, Not a Portal
Your work is handled by qualified accountants, not outsourced or passed through an automated platform. We are an Authorised Corporate Service Provider registered with Companies House and AML-supervised by HMRC. That means the people responsible for your filings are accountable and regulated.
Numbers Explained, Not Just Filed
A lot of accountants file your return and send you a copy. We explain what the numbers mean and flag anything you should act on before it becomes a problem. That might be an approaching VAT threshold, a payment-on-account calculation, or simply what your profit figure actually means for your drawings. You leave each conversation knowing more than you did going in.
Up and running in four straightforward steps
Most clients are fully onboarded within a few days. There is no paperwork to post and no need to travel anywhere.

Fill in the short form on this page or call us on 020 8089 1876. We will come back to you the same day with a clear fixed fee or a written quote, depending on the work involved. No obligation at this stage.
We Agree the Scope
Once you are happy with the quote, we confirm exactly what is included and what we need from you. For most standard filings, that is a handful of documents shared online. We handle the rest.
We Carry Out the Work
Your accounts, tax returns, or ongoing bookkeeping are prepared by a qualified accountant. We will contact you if anything is unclear, but most clients find they need to do very little once the initial information is shared.
You Get On with Your Business
Filings are submitted on time, confirmations sent to you, and your records kept up to date. If a deadline is approaching or something changes in your tax position, we flag it before it becomes a problem. Which is, frankly, the way it should be.
“Professional, efficient, confidence that everything is taken care of.”
Things Edinburgh clients usually ask us
Do you actually work with Edinburgh businesses, or is your service really just for London clients?
We work entirely online and serve clients remotely across the whole of the UK, including Edinburgh, Glasgow, and the rest of Scotland. There is no geographic restriction on who we can work with, and the service is identical regardless of where you are based. All communication is handled by phone, email, or video call, at a time that suits you.
What does it actually cost, and what is included?
For the most common filings, we publish fixed fees: company accounts and corporation tax return at £250 per year, self assessment at £150, dormant company accounts at £50, and confirmation statement filing at £70. For ongoing services such as bookkeeping, VAT returns, and payroll, we provide a clear written quote based on your requirements before any work begins. There are no add-on charges for filing or basic correspondence.
My books are not in great shape. Can you still help?
Yes, and this is fairly common among new clients. We offer catch-up bookkeeping to bring your records up to date before completing any filings. The cost depends on how far back the work needs to go, and we will confirm that before starting so you know exactly what you are agreeing to. It is worth dealing with rather than leaving it to get worse.
Is there a minimum contract or tie-in period?
No. One-off fixed-fee services such as company accounts or self assessment carry no ongoing commitment at all. For clients on a monthly retainer for bookkeeping or payroll, there is no long-term contract: you can give notice and leave with clean, up-to-date records. We prefer to keep clients by doing good work rather than by tying them in.
Do you handle Scottish-registered companies and sole traders differently?
The compliance obligations for limited companies registered in Scotland and sole traders trading in Scotland are the same as for the rest of the UK: Companies House, HMRC, and the Scottish tax rules are identical in the areas we cover. We are familiar with the full range of UK filing requirements and there is nothing about operating in Scotland that changes the process or the fee.
How far in advance will I know what my tax bill is?
For limited company clients, your corporation tax liability is calculated as part of the year-end accounts process, which we aim to complete well before the filing deadline. That typically gives you several months of notice before payment is due to HMRC. For self assessment clients, we work to complete returns early in the tax year so you are not calculating a payment in January when it is already owed.
Get your accounts sorted, and get back to work.
We handle the accounts, tax returns, and filings so you do not have to. Fixed fees on core compliance, qualified accountants doing the work, and plain-English updates throughout.
