Sound familiar?
Still not sure what your tax bill is going to be?
A lot of Sheffield business owners reach us with roughly the same situation: filings approaching, books not quite up to date, and no clear picture of what is actually owed. Some are doing their own accounts in the evenings and hoping for the best. Others have an accountant but cannot get a straight answer. None of it has to be this complicated.
- Deadlines approaching and no clear figure for what tax is owed
- Books left until year end, then a scramble to pull everything together
- Paying for an accountant but never quite understanding the numbers
What sorted looks like
Your filings are handled, your numbers are explained in plain terms, and you know what to expect before any deadline arrives. That is the standard we work to for every client, regardless of size or stage.
- Your tax position is clear well ahead of any HMRC deadline
- Books kept current throughout the year, no year-end scramble
- Numbers explained in plain English so you understand what they mean
- Fixed fees published upfront, no invoice surprises at year end

What makes the difference
There are plenty of accountants available online. Here is what our clients consistently point to when they explain why they stayed.
Fixed Fees, No Surprises
The fee is agreed before any work starts. Company accounts and corporation tax is £250, self assessment is £150, and confirmation statements are £70. For ongoing services, you get a written quote first. Nothing is added to an invoice without your knowledge.
Numbers Explained, Not Just Filed
Most clients tell us they finally understood their accounts after switching to us. We go through the numbers with you in plain terms, so you know what your tax bill is, why it is what it is, and what you can do about it. Filing is the easy part.
Qualified, Regulated, and Accountable
Our qualified accountants are supported by an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) registration with Companies House and AML supervision by HMRC. We carry professional indemnity insurance through Simply Business. You are not dealing with a sole freelancer working from a laptop.
Up and running in four simple steps
The whole process is online. Most clients are fully onboarded within a few days of getting in touch.
Request a Free Quote
Fill in the short form on this page or call us on 020 8089 1876. Tell us what you need, roughly where your books are, and which services matter most. There is no obligation and no sales pressure.
Receive Your Fixed Quote
We come back to you the same day with a clear, written quote. Fixed services have a published price. Ongoing services are quoted to your volume. You know the cost before anything starts.
We Handle the Onboarding
Once you confirm, we send a brief checklist of what we need from you, connect to your cloud accounting software, and take it from there. If your books need catching up, we will tell you the cost upfront before starting.
Focus on Your Business
Filings go out on time, your numbers are kept current, and questions are answered the day you ask them. You know what your tax position is, deadlines are not something you have to track, and the books are no longer your problem.
“Professional, efficient, confidence that everything is taken care of.”
Things Sheffield clients usually ask
Do I need to come into an office, or does everything work remotely?
Everything is handled online. There is no office to visit, and there is no expectation that you will travel anywhere. We work with clients across the whole of the UK, including Sheffield and South Yorkshire, using cloud accounting software, email, and video calls where needed. The process is the same as working with a local accountant, without the inconvenience of scheduling meetings.
What does it actually cost, and what is included?
Fixed one-off fees are published upfront: company accounts and corporation tax £250, self assessment £150, dormant company accounts £50, and confirmation statement filing £70. Each fee covers everything listed on our pricing page, including submission to HMRC and Companies House where relevant. For VAT returns, payroll, and bookkeeping, we provide a written quote based on your requirements before any work begins.
My books are a bit behind. Is that a problem?
It is not unusual. Most clients who come to us have books in some state of disarray, whether that means a few months of unreconciled transactions or records that have not been touched in a year. We will review what needs doing and quote for any catch-up work separately, so you know the cost before we start. Once things are current, we keep them that way.
Am I tied into a long-term contract?
No. Fixed one-off services are exactly that: you pay for the work, the work gets done, and there is no ongoing commitment. For monthly services such as bookkeeping or payroll, we work on a rolling arrangement with no minimum term. If you want to leave, you leave with clean books and everything handed over properly.
Can you work with my existing accounting software?
Yes. We work across Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and Sage, and we hold partner or accredited status on all four. If you are already using one of these platforms, we can connect directly without any migration. If you are not using any software yet, we can advise on the most suitable option for your business and get it set up as part of the onboarding.
How far ahead will I know what tax I owe?
For limited company clients, we prepare your accounts and corporation tax computation within a reasonable period after your year end, well before the nine-month HMRC payment deadline. For self assessment, we aim to have your return prepared and your tax liability confirmed long before the 31 January deadline. You will not be waiting for a number that should already be known.
