Do you handle payroll for both employees and CIS subcontractors?+

Yes. We manage PAYE payroll for employees alongside CIS payroll for subcontractors, including monthly CIS returns to HMRC and deduction statements for each subcontractor. If your business sits in construction or trades and uses a mix of employed staff and subbies, we cover both without you needing to coordinate two separate providers.

How is payroll priced and what does the fee include?+

Payroll is priced on a quote basis because the cost depends on how many employees you pay, how often, and whether you have CIS or pension duties to manage. Once we know the details, we give you a clear, fixed monthly fee with no variable charges. The fee covers processing, RTI submissions, payslips, and pension administration. Year-end P60s and P11Ds are included in the annual scope.

We have been running payroll ourselves and the records are in a bit of a state. Can you still take it on?+

This is a fairly common situation. We start by reviewing what you have, identifying any gaps or errors, and getting the payroll into a clean state before we take over the regular processing. There may be a one-off catch-up fee depending on how much work is involved, and we will tell you upfront what that looks like before we start.

Is there a minimum contract period?+

No. There is no lock-in, and no minimum term. If you decide to move your payroll elsewhere, we provide a full handover of your records and make the transition as straightforward as possible. In practice, most clients stay because the service works well, not because they are tied in.

Can you manage auto-enrolment if we have not set up a pension scheme yet?+

Yes. If you have not yet set up a workplace pension or are approaching your staging date, we can advise on scheme options and help get everything in place. Auto-enrolment has specific duties around assessment, enrolment letters, and record-keeping, and we manage all of it so your obligations to The Pensions Regulator are met.

How far in advance will I know my employer National Insurance costs?+

As part of the monthly payroll summary, you will see your employer NIC liability clearly alongside the net pay and tax figures before the payment date. If the NIC Employment Allowance applies to your business, we make sure it is being claimed correctly. There are no surprise payroll costs at the end of the month.
