Sound familiar?
Not sure if you can afford an accountant, or afford not to have one?
A lot of small business owners sit in this exact position. The quotes they have received felt vague or expensive, so they have been handling their own tax returns, hoping nothing goes wrong. The problem is that late filing penalties, missed reliefs, and unpaid tax tend to cost considerably more than a straightforward accountancy fee would have.
- Quoted a monthly fee with no clear breakdown of what is included
- Filing your own self assessment and not confident the numbers are right
- Not claiming reliefs and allowances you are entitled to, because nobody has checked
What clear, affordable accounting looks like
Fixed fees, a qualified accountant who actually reads your numbers, and an explanation of what you owe and why. No ongoing retainer required for one-off filings.
- Fixed one-off fees with a clear list of what is included before you commit
- Your return prepared accurately by a qualified accountant and filed on time
- Allowances and reliefs reviewed as a standard part of every return we prepare
- No hidden costs, and a like-for-like price match available on genuine quotes
What clients say about the value they get
Affordable does not have to mean minimal. These clients found qualified, reliable accounting at a price that made sense for their business.
Incredible service and really affordable support for small businesses. Super quick and clear communication, and very reliable. Really loved working with them, highly recommend!
Working with Wings Online Filings Ltd has been an absolute pleasure. They are highly communicative, supportive, and provide a responsive, cost-effective service that perfectly suits my small architecture practice. I switched from another accountant about a year ago and haven’t looked back since. Their expertise, efficiency, and positive ‘can-do’ attitude make them stand out, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone seeking a new accountant.
Clear fees covering the work that actually matters
The most common filings are priced as fixed one-off fees. You know the cost before you start, and there are no add-ons for the things that are simply part of the job.

Your SA100 personal tax return prepared from the records you provide, covering income from multiple sources where applicable. Allowances, reliefs, and payments on account are reviewed as part of the process, not as an optional extra. One-off annual fee of £150.

Qualified accounting at a price that is honest from the start
There are three things that matter most when you are looking for affordable accounting: knowing what you will pay, knowing the work is done properly, and knowing someone will actually explain it to you.
Fixed Fees, Published in Advance
The most common filings have a fixed one-off price listed before you commit to anything. Company accounts and tax return: £250. Self assessment: £150. Dormant accounts: £50. Confirmation statement: £70. There are no bolt-ons for work that is simply part of the filing.
Qualified Accountants Doing the Work
Your return is prepared by a qualified accountant, not passed to an unqualified team member. The firm is an Authorised Corporate Service Provider registered with Companies House and is AML-supervised by HMRC. That level of registration is not standard for every low-cost provider.
Numbers Explained, Not Just Filed
An affordable service that leaves you confused about your own tax position is not actually saving you much. Every filing includes a plain-English explanation of what was done, what you owe, and what to expect next. You should understand your accounts, not just receive them.
Up and running in four straightforward steps
The process is designed to take as little of your time as possible. Most clients are fully onboarded and have a clear quote within 24 hours of getting in touch.
Request a Free Quote
Fill in the short form on this page with your basic details and what you need. There is no obligation, and you will receive a clear, itemised quote based on your actual situation rather than a generic price list.
We Confirm the Scope
Once you accept the quote, we confirm exactly what is included and what we need from you. For most standard filings, the list of documents required is short and we will tell you precisely what to send.
Send Your Records
You share your records securely online. If your books are behind or in a bit of a state, that is not a problem. We handle catch-up work regularly and will let you know upfront if that affects the price.
Filed and Done
Your return is prepared, reviewed, and filed. You receive a copy and a plain-English summary of what was submitted and what happens next. Your tax position is clear, your filing is on time, and there is nothing sitting in a drawer waiting to become a problem.
“Professional, efficient, confidence that everything is taken care of.”
Things people ask before getting started
Does a lower fee mean a less thorough service?
Not in this case. The fixed fees reflect a streamlined, online-only process rather than the overhead costs of a high-street office. The same qualified accountant prepares your return, reviews your allowances, and files with HMRC or Companies House. Thoroughness is not variable depending on what you pay.
What exactly does the fixed fee include?
For company accounts and tax return (£250), the fee covers preparation of your profit and loss account and balance sheet, the CT600 corporation tax return and computation, submission to both HMRC and Companies House, and a basic tax planning review. For self assessment (£150), it covers the SA100 return, SA302 tax calculation, review of allowances and reliefs, and timely HMRC submission. There are no additional charges for standard correspondence or follow-up questions during the engagement.
My books are behind and not in great shape. Is that a problem?
It is not unusual. We take on catch-up and clean-up work regularly, and it is something most clients come to us with at some point. If the state of your records means additional work beyond the standard filing, we will let you know the cost upfront before starting anything.
Is there a contract or minimum commitment?
No long-term contract is required for one-off filings. You pay the fixed fee for the service you need and that is the extent of the commitment. If you move to an ongoing arrangement for bookkeeping, VAT, or payroll, the terms are discussed and agreed before anything starts.
Can you match a quote I have already received elsewhere?
If you have a genuine like-for-like quote from another practice covering the same scope of work, share it with us and we will do our best to match it. We cannot match quotes for cut-down services that do not include the full filing and compliance work, but we will be honest with you about what a fair comparison looks like.
Will you let me know my tax bill in advance rather than just before it is due?
Yes. As part of preparing your return, we aim to give you a clear picture of what you owe well before the payment deadline. For self assessment clients, that includes advice on payments on account so there are no surprises in January. Knowing the number in advance is considerably more useful than finding out at the last moment.
