Sound familiar?
Still not sure where your tax bill stands this year?
A lot of Birmingham business owners know they should have better visibility over their numbers, but between running the business and keeping up with day-to-day demands, the accounts slide. Deadlines creep up, records fall behind, and the correspondence from HMRC gets harder to ignore. It is a very common situation, and a very solvable one.
- Year-end accounts left until the last few weeks before the deadline
- No clear picture of what tax is owed until the bill actually arrives
- Stuck with a previous accountant who rarely explains what they have done
What sorted looks like
When your accounts are managed properly, nothing comes as a surprise. You know your tax position well ahead of time, filings go in on schedule, and you get a clear explanation of what has been done and why.
- Year-end accounts filed on time, with no last-minute scramble on your part
- Your tax liability confirmed months before HMRC sends a payment reminder
- Clear summaries after every filing, so you understand what was submitted
- Fixed fees agreed upfront, so the invoice never comes as a surprise

What makes the difference in practice
There are plenty of accountants. Here is what separates the ones who just file from the ones who keep you informed.
Fixed Fees, Known in Advance
Core compliance work is priced at a fixed one-off annual fee: company accounts and tax return at £250, self assessment at £150, dormant accounts at £50, and confirmation statement at £70. You know the cost before we start, and the invoice matches what was agreed. No time-based surprises at the end of the year.
Numbers Explained, Not Just Filed
Filing your accounts is the minimum. We take the time to explain what the figures mean, what your tax position looks like, and what, if anything, is worth acting on before the next year end. Business owners who understand their numbers make better decisions, and that is worth considerably more than a compliance filing alone.
Properly Registered and Regulated
Wings Online Filings is an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) registered with Companies House, AML-supervised by HMRC, and covered by professional indemnity insurance. The team are qualified accountants. You are not dealing with an unregulated filing service.
Up and running in four straightforward steps
Most clients are set up within a few days. There is no paperwork to post, no office to visit, and no lengthy onboarding call to sit through.

Fill in the short form on this page with a few details about your business. We will come back to you with a clear fixed quote, or a range if your requirements need a quick follow-up call to confirm.
Share Your Records
We will tell you exactly what we need and how to send it. If your books are behind or in some disarray, that is not a problem. We handle catch-up work regularly and will let you know the cost upfront before starting.
We Handle the Filing
Your accounts are prepared, checked, and filed with HMRC and Companies House. We manage the submissions, monitor the deadlines, and keep a record of everything on file for you.
You Stay Informed and in Control
After each filing we send a plain-English summary of what was submitted and what it means for your tax position. Deadlines are tracked, reminders are sent, and you know well in advance what is coming up. Considerably less to think about than before.
“Professional, efficient, confidence that everything is taken care of.”
A few things Birmingham clients usually ask first
Do you actually work with Birmingham businesses, or is this just a location page?
We work with clients across the whole of the UK, including Birmingham, entirely online. There is no physical office to visit, which is the point. Everything is handled remotely by video call, email, and secure file sharing. The service is identical whether you are based in Birmingham, Bristol, or anywhere else in the country.
What does it cost, and what does the fee include?
Company accounts and corporation tax return are £250 as a one-off annual fee. Self assessment is £150. Dormant company accounts are £50 and confirmation statement filing is £70. These fees cover preparation, filing with HMRC and Companies House, and a summary of your tax position. Ongoing services such as bookkeeping, VAT returns, and payroll are quoted based on your volume and requirements.
My books are behind. Can you still help, and what will catch-up work cost?
Yes, and it is a common starting point. We will review what you have, confirm what is needed to bring records up to date, and give you a clear cost for the catch-up work before starting. Nothing is assumed, and nothing is added without your agreement. Most clients find the process considerably less painful than they expected.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. One-off filings are exactly that. For ongoing services there is a rolling monthly arrangement, but there is no minimum term or cancellation fee. If you decide to move on, we provide your records in a clean, usable format so the handover to a new accountant is straightforward.
How do I share documents and records with you if everything is remote?
We use secure online platforms for document sharing and, where relevant, cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, or Sage. We will confirm which method suits your setup. There is nothing to post and no scanning required unless you specifically prefer it.
Can you help me reduce my tax bill, or do you only handle the compliance filing?
Both. Compliance is the foundation, but as part of every year-end engagement we review your tax position and flag any reliefs, allowances, or planning points that are relevant. For more structured tax planning, we offer a separate advisory service. The starting point is always getting the compliance right, and we build from there.
