Sound familiar?
Not sure what your accountant actually does for the fee?
A lot of small business owners are paying more than they should for accountancy, or settling for a service that files the numbers and little else. You chase for updates, deadlines creep up without warning, and the bill at the end of the year is never quite what you expected. It should not be this complicated.
- Accountancy bills that arrive with no breakdown and no explanation
- Deadlines missed or flagged late, leaving you scrambling with HMRC
- Numbers filed away without being explained, so you are none the wiser
What sorted looks like
Fixed fees, set in advance. Filings handled on time. And someone who explains your numbers in plain terms rather than sending you a PDF and disappearing until next year.
- A fixed fee quoted upfront, covering everything included in the service
- Deadlines tracked and filed on time, with no last-minute chasing from you
- Your accounts explained clearly so you understand what the numbers mean
- Transparent pricing with no surprise invoices at year end

What makes the difference, in practice
There are plenty of accountants. Here is what separates a firm that files your numbers from one that keeps you on top of them.
Prices You Know in Advance
Year-end accounts and corporation tax is £250. Self assessment is £150. Dormant accounts are £50. These are the prices, stated clearly, before you commit to anything. There are no variable fees added after the fact and no ambiguity about what is and is not covered.
Numbers Explained, Not Just Filed
Filing your accounts correctly is the minimum. We explain what the figures mean, flag anything that affects your tax position, and make sure you understand your own business finances before we close a job. Most of our clients say this is what they were missing before.
Regulated and Properly Qualified
Wings Online Filings is an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) registered with Companies House and AML-supervised by HMRC. The team consists of qualified accountants covered by professional indemnity insurance. You are not dealing with a bookkeeper or an unregulated filing service.
Up and running in four straightforward steps
Getting a new accountant in place takes less time than most people expect. Here is how the process works from first contact to first filing.

We Review Your Position
Once you decide to go ahead, we take a look at where your accounts currently stand. If there is any catch-up work needed, we tell you upfront and agree a fee before starting. No surprises.
We Handle the Filings
We prepare your accounts, tax returns, or other filings and keep you updated as the work progresses. You review and approve before anything is submitted. Questions during this stage get answered promptly.
Stay on Top, Every Year
With your filings up to date and your numbers explained, you know where you stand. Deadlines are tracked, reminders go out in good time, and you have an accountant to call when something comes up rather than navigating it alone.
“Professional, efficient, confidence that everything is taken care of.”
A few things small business owners usually ask
Can you handle accounts for my type of small business?
We work with sole traders, limited companies, freelancers, contractors, consultants, property investors, e-commerce sellers, and a range of trade and service businesses. The work is delivered remotely across the UK, so there is no geographical restriction. If you are unsure whether your business falls within what we cover, a quick call or message will confirm it.
What does the fee actually include, and are there any extras?
For fixed-fee services, the price covers everything stated: preparation, review, and submission. Year-end accounts and corporation tax is £250 (P&L, balance sheet, CT600, HMRC and Companies House submission, and tax planning review). Self assessment is £150. Dormant accounts are £50. Confirmation statement filing is £70. Ongoing services such as bookkeeping, VAT, and payroll are quoted based on your requirements. We confirm the full scope before starting, so there are no additions after the fact.
My books are behind. Can you still help, and what will that cost?
Yes, catch-up and clean-up work is something we do regularly. The first step is a review of where things stand. We will then give you a clear quote for any catch-up required before we bring everything up to date and move forward on a normal footing. The cost depends on how far behind things are, but you will know the figure before any work begins.
Is there a minimum contract or lock-in period?
No. There is no minimum contract and no lock-in. Fixed-fee services are one-off engagements. If you decide to move on at any point, we will make sure your records are in order and hand everything over cleanly. The relationship works because it is useful, not because leaving is difficult.
Do you work with businesses that already use accounting software?
Yes. We work across Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and Sage, and we are accredited on all four platforms. If you are already set up on one of them, we connect to your existing account rather than asking you to start again. If you are not using software yet, we can advise on the most suitable option for your business.
Can you help me understand how much tax I am likely to owe before the deadline?
Yes, and this is a straightforward part of what we do. For limited companies, we review your tax position as part of preparing the year-end accounts and flag the liability before filing. For self assessment, we calculate your bill well before the January deadline so you are not caught short. Payments on account are also explained so the following year does not produce an unexpected demand.
