Which bookkeeping software do you work with?
We work across Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and Sage. If you are already on one of those platforms, we connect to your existing account rather than asking you to start again. If you need a new account set up, we handle the configuration, connect your bank feed, and make sure the chart of accounts is structured correctly from the start.
How is the monthly bookkeeping priced?
Bookkeeping is quoted based on your transaction volume and the complexity of your records, so there is no single published price. We agree a fixed monthly fee before any work begins, and that is what you pay each month. No hourly rates, no invoice surprises. If your volume changes significantly over time, we revisit the quote with you.
My books are months behind. Can you still help?
Yes, and it is one of the more common situations we deal with. We assess the backlog, give you a fixed quote to bring the records up to date, and complete the catch-up before moving to a regular monthly service. Most clients find the catch-up takes considerably less time than they expected once a qualified accountant works through it methodically.
Is there a minimum contract or lock-in period?
There is no long-term contract. If the service is not working for you, you can leave with a month’s notice and you will receive all of your records in a clean, exported format. You own your data and your accounting software logins at all times.
Do you handle receipts and expenses, or just bank transactions?
Both. We can work with Dext (formerly Receipt Bank) for receipt capture, which makes it straightforward to photograph expenses on your phone and have them flow straight into your bookkeeping. If you already have a method for tracking expenses that works for you, we can work around that too.
Will I be able to see my profit figures during the year, not just at year-end?
That is one of the main reasons to keep your books current rather than doing them once a year. With monthly bookkeeping in place, your cloud accounting platform shows your income, costs, and profit in real time. We can also prepare a brief monthly summary if you prefer a plain-English overview rather than reading a P&L directly.
