  • Fixed annual fees published upfront for core compliance work
  • Your accounts and tax returns filed accurately and on time
  • A clear quote before any work begins, with nothing added later
  • Plain-English explanations so you understand what you owe and why

No long-term contract required. If the arrangement is not working, you leave with your records in order and nothing outstanding.

Sound familiar?

Not sure what your accountant will charge this year?

Variable pricing is one of the more frustrating parts of working with an accountant. The work gets done, then the bill arrives and it is higher than expected. For smaller businesses especially, that unpredictability makes it harder to plan. It is a common situation, and it is entirely avoidable.

  • An invoice arrives that is higher than last year, with no prior warning
  • No clear understanding of what is included and what costs extra
  • Time spent chasing the accountant to find out where things stand

What a fixed-fee arrangement looks like

Fixed fees mean you know the cost before the work starts. Common filings have a published price. More complex or ongoing work is quoted clearly before anything begins. No surprises, no renegotiations mid-year.

  • Your annual fee is agreed upfront, with no additions after the fact
  • A clear scope confirmed at the start so nothing is ambiguous or disputed later
  • Proactive updates so you always know where your filings are
  • Fixed one-off fees from £50, with quotes for all other work before it begins

Why Wings Online Filings

What makes a fixed-fee arrangement work

Fixed fees are only useful if the work behind them is reliable. Here is what you can expect in practice.

📋

Prices you can see before calling

The fees for common annual filings are published on the website. You do not need to request a quote to know whether company accounts cost £250 or ten times that. For variable or specialist work, a written quote is provided before anything begins.

🔍

Plain-English explanations included

Filing the return is one part of the job. Understanding what your numbers mean is the part that actually helps you run the business. Every engagement includes a plain-English explanation of what was filed, what you owe, and why.

🏛️

Qualified, regulated, and properly insured

The firm is run by qualified accountants and is an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) registered with Companies House. It is AML-supervised by HMRC and covered by professional indemnity insurance. Which is, frankly, the baseline you should expect from any accountant.

Getting started

Up and running in four straightforward steps

The onboarding process is designed to take as little of your time as possible. Most clients are fully set up within a few days of their first conversation.

1

Request a Quote

Fill in the short form on this page or call us directly. Tell us what you need and we will confirm the fixed fee or provide a written quote within the same working day. No vague estimates.

2

Confirm the Scope

Once you are happy with the price, we confirm exactly what is included in writing. There are no ambiguous line items and nothing that might be added to the invoice later.

3

Share Your Records

We will tell you precisely what we need and how to send it. If your records are incomplete or in a bit of a state, that is fine. We will let you know what is missing and help you find it.

4

Filed, confirmed, and done

Your accounts and returns are prepared, checked, and submitted on your behalf. You receive confirmation when everything is filed, along with a plain-English summary of what was submitted and what you owe.

Questions

A few things people usually ask

What exactly is covered by a fixed fee, and what might cost extra?+

Published fixed fees cover a defined scope: for example, the £250 company accounts fee includes preparing the profit and loss account, balance sheet, CT600 corporation tax return, and submission to both HMRC and Companies House. It does not include separate services such as VAT returns, payroll, or bookkeeping, which are quoted individually. The scope is confirmed in writing before any work starts, so there are no grey areas.

How does the pricing actually work for ongoing services like VAT or payroll?+

Services where the volume or complexity varies month to month, such as VAT returns, payroll, and bookkeeping, are quoted based on your specific situation before work begins. You will receive a clear written quote, and the fee does not change unless your requirements change materially. There are no variable monthly invoices that fluctuate without explanation.

My books are not in great shape. Can you still help, and what will it cost to catch up?+

Most clients who come to us mid-year or after a gap in their bookkeeping are in a similar position. We will review what you have, tell you what needs to be done to bring everything up to date, and provide a clear quote for the catch-up work before starting. The catch-up fee is separate from the ongoing fixed fee, and both are agreed in writing upfront.

Is there a minimum contract period, and what happens if I want to leave?+

There is no long-term contract. Most services are engaged on an annual or per-filing basis. If you decide to move to a different accountant, we will prepare a professional handover of your records and make sure you leave with everything in order. Nothing is withheld and nothing is owed beyond work already completed.

Can I switch to you mid-year from another accountant?+

Yes. Switching mid-year is straightforward in most cases. We contact your previous accountant on your behalf to obtain the necessary handover information and professional clearance. If there are gaps or incomplete records, we will identify them early and let you know what is needed before quoting for any additional work.

Will you flag tax-planning opportunities as part of the service, or just file the return?+

Filing the return is the minimum. Where there are straightforward allowances or reliefs available, we include those as part of the engagement rather than charging separately for what should be standard practice. For more involved planning, such as capital gains timing, director salary and dividend structuring, or EIS considerations, we discuss this separately and quote clearly before advising.
